TWO-TONE LAYER CANDLE
This candle requires two separate batches of wax, each a different color. Pour the first batch into the container, filling it about halfway up. Allow this layer to cool partially until it has a spongy consistency. Heat and pour a second batch on top of the first, creating the two-tone look. Some practice is needed to master this technique.
Using the same technique with additional batches of wax, multilayered candles of numerous colors can be created.
ANGLED LAYER CANDLE
This is an even more difficult variation. Create this layer candle by tilting the container, pouring wax, and allowing it to harden at an angle. The effect can be dramatic.
